Good Public Space Analysis
Every city wishes to prioritise citizens' well-being when planning its public spaces. But do we really know how good our parks and plazas are and how to make them better? Our Good Public Space Analysis combines data analyses, behavioural studies and physical observations to provide extensive and accessible information for cities and designers on the quality of any public space.
Part of understanding the human experience through the public space involves understanding the stories, memories and challenges that emerge when experiencing the space. We tap into these by using design research, ethnographic and participatory tools to understand how citizen’s needs and desires are being facilitated (or not) by the built environment.
We know that the future is uncertain and so we cannot predict it. But we can be better prepared and learn to deal with this uncertainty by exploring and making tangible alternative scenarios for the future. We do this using tools from speculative design and futurism in co-imagination sessions with citizens, experts and other stakeholders.
Turning complex urban transformations into inspiring experiences through applied transition management for spatial projects. We aim to bring together a wide range of stakeholders and perspectives to the same table while combining the long and short term into a single action plan.
Making cities human and kind, while tackling complex urban problems, can be challenging. But it can be fun as well. By applying a different way of thinking and doing, working in a multidisciplinary way and breaking down silos. We provide the tools and insights on how to do s by creating online courses and educational programs that foster urban change, organizing workshops and inspirational presentations, and empowering the next generation city makers.
