In 2017, we designed a new playground and sports area in Groningen, the Netherlands. The plan and implementation were carried out together with the local municipality. The goal was to upgrade the park and include as much target groups as possible.

 

We worked with a variety of people in the neighborhood and have made chosen together with the activities and destinations suitable for the park.  Since we were not able to remove the asphalt from the park, we used a repetitive pattern to soften it. The result is an area with different playing and sporting possibilities that work in synergy.
